Multicultural Bay Ambassadors

Our community is diverse and we need more diverse values and voices reflected in our industry and environmental action. The Multicultural Bay Ambassadors Program is a four month volunteer internship program for emerging professionals to develop skills in community engagement and education, and share cultural knowledge for the EcoCentre to better understand and design our programs. Ambassadors are trained on a range of Baykeeper, citizen science, schools and volunteering activities to develop culturally inclusive events to inspire actions to care for the Bay.

Education

Our curriculum-linked Schools and Early Years programs allow students and teachers to connect to your local environment, especially Port Phillip Bay, St Kilda Botanical Gardens and Aboriginal Cultures and Histories across local landscapes.

Learners will be empowered to take sustainability action within their school, community and at home.

We pay respects to their Elders past and present, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Elder members of our multicultural community.
