16th Annual School Sustainability Festival

The School Sustainability Festival is an annual event organised by the Port Phillip EcoCentre to provide local schools and their communities an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge their environmental and student leadership achievements within City of Port Phillip (CoPP), Bayside City Council (BCC) and beyond.

The School Sustainability Festival is Victoria’s longest running Festival proudly celebrating student leadership and environmental action.

The 15th annual School Sustainability Festival was held online on Wednesday 18th November, 2020 due to adapting to the pandemic restrictions. The 2020 Festival celebrated youth leadership in climate and biodiversity. Students were encouraged to participate in a variety of ways online to reconnect, learn and teach each other and to celebrate their leadership in climate and biodiversity.

260 students from 13 schools and 5 home-school families participated. The featured 3 main room (main stage) presentations, and 17 concurrent workshop presentations (11 school presentations and 6 invited guest presentations).
